Paul, I just went to your site and am downloading your 'Autumn' dramatisation as I type this. My iPod demands it!

Hey, Chuck! I think the level of obsession toward the zombie phenomena far exceeds the 1950s nuclear paranoia genre, at least in raw numbers -- especially if you add ghosts (which are related) to the mix. Definitely some sort of cultural comment, I'd say, though the exact nature of that commentary might be harder to determine. I keep working on it. I'll let you know.

Meanwhile, while I love movies, I know enough about making them to not want to try!

Wow! This is becoming scarily like the 50's, when we were innundated with all those radiactive monster/alien invader movies! Ahhhh, the 50's. Remember 'em well. Is this some sort of cultural comment, perhaps? Any theories, Rob?

Zone of The Dead looks hilarious - sort of The Equaliser meets Return of the Living Dead. Descendants looks pretty harrowing, though.

Strikes me that we Aussies could put together a pretty damn good zombie flick if we put our minds to it - we've got the desolate locations, certainly the writing talent, and I'm sure we wouldn't have too much trouble in drumming up extras. :)

How 'bout it, Rob? Fancy a credit as writer/director?
