Dickens and Mesozoic Inc.<\/strong> Special Visual Effects studio are in various stages in the production of two rather interesting-looking scifi monster flicks. From information currently available, they fit perfectly with all those gigantic shapes lurking around in the undead backbrain.<\/p>\n<p>The first is <strong>Alien Grey: Zone-X<\/strong> (US-2009; dir. Thomas R. Dickens):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/alien-grey-poster.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1324\" title=\"alien-grey-poster\" src=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/alien-grey-poster.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"379\" height=\"489\" srcset=\"https:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/alien-grey-poster.jpg 464w, https:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/alien-grey-poster-232x300.jpg 232w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 379px) 100vw, 379px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly it involves a secret &#8212; and abandoned &#8212; Government research area that is infested not only with Alien Greys, but the assorted products of their mysterious experiments &#8212; including a giant cyborg spider, a carnivorous dinosaur, and winged space monster. In this hell-hole wanders a group of 20-somethings and a maniac who is stalking them. The intruders themselves become the subjects of alien experimentation and even acquire super-powers, which, of course, they turn on each other. He has worked in various visual and special effects capacities on such films as <em>Anaconda<\/em>, <em>Harry Potter and the Philosopher&#8217;s Stone<\/em>, <em>What Lies Beneath<\/em>, <em>Hollow Man<\/em>, <em>Spider-Man<\/em>, the <em>Scooby-Doo<\/em> movies, the US <em>Pulse<\/em> (I&#8217;ll forgive him that) and <em>Looney Tunes: Back in Action<\/em>.
