The film tells the tale of an army of giant, mutant rats &#8212; brought back from space on a returning Earth spaceship &#8212; that causes death and destruction for Los Angeles and the world.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1790\" title=\"poster\" src=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/poster.jpg\" alt=\"New Official Poster\" width=\"400\" height=\"570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/poster.jpg 600w, https:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/poster-211x300.jpg 211w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Featuring Jeff Burr (director of many B-flick sci-fi horror films, such as <em>Pumpkinhead 2: Blood Wings<\/em>, <em>Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III<\/em>, <em>Puppet Master 4 and 5<\/em> and other genre sequels, not to mention episodes of the TV show <em>Land of the Lost<\/em>), and a strong cast of genre and straight-to-video independent films, it looks like it will be a real monster-rampage hoot. Even better is the fact that Leroy is a self-confessed fan of <em>daikaiju eiga<\/em> and previous films, such as <em>Creepies<\/em> and <em>Creepies 2<\/em> are sufficient evidence of that. Something of that aesthetic has to creep into<em> Rat Scratch Fever<\/em> (great title, by the way, Jeff!).<\/p>\n<p>Kaiju Search-Robot Avery has obtained a gallery of new images from director Leroy.
