Now a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tanomi.com\/girara\/080428.html\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> for\u00a0 <strong>Girara-no Gyakushuu Touyaku Samitto Kiki Ippatsu<\/strong> [lit. Guilala\u2019s Counter Attack: the Touyaku Summit One-Shot Crisis] (Japan<em>&#8211;<\/em>2008; dir. Minoru Kawasaki) has appeared, with the above poster and some production shots.<\/p>\n<p>Some have been posted elsewhere:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/guilala-pic1.jpg\" title=\"Guilala pic 1\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/guilala-pic1.jpg\" alt=\"Guilala pic 1\" height=\"287\" width=\"424\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But I haven&#8217;t seen this image of the &#8220;Beat&#8221; Takeshi kaiju character, Takemajin, before.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/takemajin1.jpg\" title=\"Takemajin statue\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/takemajin1.jpg\" alt=\"Takemajin statue\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/takemajinface.jpg\" title=\"Takemajin statue 2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/takemajinface.jpg\" alt=\"Takemajin statue 2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These show a kaiju that is much less &#8220;suited-up&#8221; than the <a href=\"http:\/\/roberthood.net\/blog\/index.php\/2008\/04\/28\/update-guilala-and-beat-takeshi\/\" target=\"_blank\">earlier conceptual sketch<\/a> suggested&#8230; and Takeshi&#8217;s likeness comes over clear as a bell!<\/p>\n<p><break>  <\/break><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We keep talking about the new Guilala film, but this is just the sort of thing that gets the giant-monster nerd in me all excited (and he&#8217;s a pretty big critter)!
