Now this seems to be taking the Hulk even further into kaiju territory than Ang Lee did, even if the styling has been made more conventional.

It is starting to look considerably better than the Ang Lee version.Although, they’ve drastically changed Abomination’s appearance from the comics. It still looks like a fun ride to get on!!
I have to say I’m one of the few who really liked the Ang Lee version. It was different from all the other superhero films that were being made then, much less generic — and I really liked its non-Hollywood style. For me it wasn’t dull or slow, as it was for many people. I found it both intelligent and emotionally resonant. This new one looks like it’s going to be more standard in its stylings, but that could be OK, too. As always, we’ll see.
Yes, this looks interesting. And closer to the “reluctant hero” Hulk of yesteryear.
Although I wasn’t put off by Ang Lee’s version.
The Hulk was rather reluctant in Ang Lee’s version, wasn’t he? Or am I remembering badly?
I liked the Ang Lee version very much, but this one seems a bit more focused on action. That’s what the series could use to save it.It should make for a good popcorn summer tentpole flick.
Quite true! Another Ang Lee-style one wouldn’t go down well with the punters.
