I think they did a bang up job considering they had no visuals because filming has yet to start. The teaser sets up the back story and features some really awesome theme music, which by the way is available for sale as a MP3 download on the blog: http://sacrifice.brickcavemedia.com/ This project has me drooling for more!!
Yeah, it really does. I like that they’re filming it str8 and not as a spoof. We’ve seen way too many horror/comedies that aren’t either scary or funny lately. It’s beginning to feel that no one is taking this genre of giant monsters seriously anymore. Not even the Japanese with “The Monster X Strikes Back: Attack The G8 Summit” and “Big Man Japan”[DaiNipponjin]. This one and “Cloverfield” are signs of hope for the genre.
There has always been a humorous side to the genre. Godzilla wasn’t always very serious. Comes from the fact that daikaiju are essentially impossible and often ludicrous, I guess. But I take your point and it is good to see…

From the back story, it seems as though the film takes a different approach to the genre as well. That appeals to me.
