Actually, this superhero spin from Will Smith and director Peter Berg (who is set to direct yet another version of Frank Herbert’s classic SF novel, Dune, for 2010) looks like it might (a) work, and (b) be pretty funny….
…. though I do detect a whiff of undue sentimentality.

This looks very entertaining. I’m surprised I haven’t heard of it ’til now. Big star, superhero theme… it’s definitely flown under the radar.
Maybe they wanted to wait until the “I Am Legend” frenzy had passed…
Hancock…
Seen this trailer (here) for the movie Hancock. Based on the trailer it looks like a reasonable movie, super-hero, who’s kind of an ass, redeems himself in the end. That sums it up I think.
